Some people say that Nigeria is frightening. There are kidnappings and you cannot walk on the streets alone.  That is not true. Dr. Sopon found an impressive experience.

 

During June 7 to 15, 2025, Dr.Sopon Pornchokchai, President, Agency for Real Estate Affairs (www.area.co.th) and board member of FIABCI International went to the 75th FIABCI World Real Estate Congress held in Lagos, Nigeria.  He was impressed with many things there.  One small thing with a big impression is involved with a maid of his room.

 

Dr. Sopon forgot to close the safe in his hotel room and left it open, which contained his passport and about Baht 50,000 or USD 1,500.  He carried cash because someone advice to him not to use a credit card. He went out to a meeting all day and returned to the room.  His room was cleaned but everything was still there. Dr. Sopon thanked Mr.Eniola the cleaning staff and gave him some money as well as souvenirs. This shows that people here, despite being poor, are also honest.
