Distinguished Guest from the Vietnam Real Estate Association,

Distinguished representatives of international real estate organizations,

Honored delegates representing outstanding members of the Vietnam Association of Realtors present at this event, and all VARS members across the country,

Esteemed journalists and reporters from news agencies and media outlets, Ladies and gentlemen,

 

First of all, on behalf of the Vietnam Association of Realtors (VARS), I would like to extend a warm welcome and sincere thanks to all of you for taking the time to attend today's event.

 

Your presence is a great encouragement, adding confidence, strength, and motivation for Vietnam's real estate brokers to persist through challenges, uphold professional ethics, and make positive contributions to the transparent, stable, and sustainable development of the Vietnamese real estate market.

 

Ladies and gentlemen,

On June 29, 2006, the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam officially passed the Law on Real Estate Business, laying the first legal foundation for the real estate brokerage profession in Vietnam.  Since then, the brokerage community has grown steadily, asserting its vital role as a bridge between developers, businesses, and clients, contributing to a stable, transparent, and sustainable real estate market -- a key sector with widespread influence on the national economy.

 

Since 2016, June 29 has been officially recognized as Vietnam Real Estate Brokers' Day - a special occasion for real estate professionals to take pride in their work, to be honored for their indispensable contributions to market operations. That is why the 2025 Vietnam Real Estate Brokers' Day is being held as a meaningful milestone - a moment to look back on the journey of development, acknowledge tireless efforts, and promote the values of a profession that truly deserves respect.

 

Ladies and gentlemen,

In the spirit of unity and pride, Vietnam Real Estate Brokers' Day 2025 takes place under the powerful theme: "FLY UP - VARS: Steadfast and Rising to New Heights."  This theme reflects not only the resilience of brokers in overcoming past challenges, but also expresses the aspiration to reach greater heights, adapt to integration trends, embrace digital transformation, and elevate the professionalism of the brokerage workforce in all aspects.

 

Aligned with that spirit, this year's celebration includes not only the VARS Awards Ceremony, honoring the real estate brokerage profession, but also features a series of vibrant and diverse activities such as:

 

• VARS Conference - A professional seminar themed "Real Estate Brokerage in a New Landscape - Shifting Strategies, Leading the Game,"
• VARS Golf Tournament - A golf event for business leaders and real estate executives,
• VARS VIP Gala Night - An evening of networking and connection.

 

This is an opportunity for real estate brokers to gather, share experiences, update market trends, strengthen professional bonds, and work together toward building a stronger, more professional, transparent, and sustainable brokerage community.

 

Ladies and gentlemen,

On the occasion of Vietnam Real Estate Brokers' Day, at a time when the market is undergoing transformation with both opportunities and challenges ahead, under the theme "Fly Up - VARS: Steadfast and Rising to New Heights," VARS would like to deliver the following key messages to the brokerage community:

 

1. Have absolute trust in the strong, timely, and coordinated leadership of the Party, the State, and the Government in resolving difficulties, unlocking resources, and gradually laying a solid foundation for a stable and sustainable real estate market.
2. Comply with the law, uphold professional ethics, and enhance social responsibility by offering accurate and responsible advice, effectively and professionally supporting customers, businesses, and investors in alignment with market conditions.
3. Actively seek knowledge, improve professional competence, embrace technology, standardize practice processes, and integrate with international norms to gradually build a professional, resilient, and globally competent brokerage force.
4. Actively contribute opinions to policy-making, offer scientific feedback, and cooperate with regulatory agencies to perfect the legal framework, build market confidence, and create a transparent and fair investment environment.
5. Firmly say no to negative behaviors and violations, thereby preserving the reputation and image of Vietnam's real estate brokers as ethical, professional, and socially responsible individuals.

 

Especially as the market is being reshaped, the Vietnam real estate brokerage community must continue to promote solidarity, strengthen cooperation, and build a reputable, powerful force with a solid standing.  We must play the role of a reliable bridge and a key driver of the real estate industry, contributing to the sustainable development of the national economy in this era of deep global integration.

 

Ladies and gentlemen,

The year 2024 was filled with challenges: the real estate market experienced prolonged liquidity stagnation, cautious investor sentiment, and limited supply.  As we enter 2025, the market is gradually showing signs of a positive recovery.

 

This improvement is becoming more evident thanks to the Government's resolute policies, increased public investment in strategic infrastructure projects, a gradual improvement in supply, streamlined administrative procedures, along with newly approved master plans and administrative boundary adjustments that are opening up development space for emerging areas.

 

However, alongside these promising signals, there are still lingering difficulties and challenges that must be addressed to ensure sustained recovery.

 

In fulfilling its mission and role, the Vietnam Association of Realtors is committed to standing by its members, while also partnering with businesses, investors, customers, and regulatory bodies to jointly explore solutions, seize new opportunities, and build long-term, positive, and sustainable partnerships.  These relationships include:

• VARS with its members,
• Brokerages and brokers with each other,
• Brokers with clients,
• And brokers with government institutions.

 

To help Vietnam's brokerage force become more professional, reputable, and more contributive to both the real estate market and the national economy, VARS also hopes that the Government and relevant ministries will continue to recognize the role of brokers and implement practical, appropriate support policies especially in this pivotal period of market transformation, where capable and resilient brokers are needed to accompany businesses and the people.

 

Finally, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the support of the Ministry of Construction, the direction of the Vietnam Real Estate Association, and the backing of news and media agencies.  I also deeply appreciate the businesses, international organizations, and sponsors who have consistently accompanied the Vietnamese brokerage community.

 

Especially, I would like to honor and thank all members and brokers across the country who have persistently and tirelessly maintained the bridge connecting the market throughout the difficult years.

 

I hereby declare the official opening of Vietnam Real Estate Brokers' Day 2025!  Wishing all distinguished guests good health and great success.  Wishing all businesses and our fellow brokers steadfast hearts, steadfast careers, and firm strides on the path you have chosen.
